Guatemala – a hidden volcanic beauty

My last voyage on the Queen Elizabeth was an amazing experience, travelling from San Francisco to Guatemala. I saw the sites in San Francisco, visited beautiful white sand beaches in Mexico and spent a week in a tiny village on the edge of Lake Atitlan at the end of my trip. Guatemala is not a place I had thought of visiting, but I am so glad I had the opportunity to travel there. It is a beautiful country, with wonderful volcanic scenery and unspoiled landscapes. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for an adventure!

The voyage itself was wonderful, performing as Rouge alongside guitarist Elena Zucchini, the concerts were a great success and we got to know lots of interesting people and felt very welcome on board. We tried out our new repertoire by Cuban composer Eduardo Martin which went down a treat, alongside our old favourites such as the Carmen Fantasy and Piazzolla’s Histoire Du Tango. Bring on the next trip!
